In order for this holy fasting to have an effective effect on your spiritual life, we put before you some exercises to practice, so that if you turn it into a life, you have benefited from your fasting:

1- Training to let go of a certain line of sins that dominate you:

, which is repeated in many of your confessions. Or focus on weakness or favorite line.. And every human being knows exactly what is the line that weakens in front of it, and repeatedly falls into it, and mostly repeats his confessions. Let these sins be practiced to leave them while fasting. And that's how a holy fast really is.


2- A fasting person may practice to leave a habit:

Like a smoker who practices fasting to quit smoking, or an addict of a certain drink, it has become a dominant habit that they cannot quit, just like tea and coffee addicts. Or the one who becomes a habit of watching TV wastes his time and affects his responsibility. All of this and the likes of fasting is a practice to leave it.

Pour yourself out in front of God, and say to him: O Lord, save us from this sin. I admit that I am weak at this very point, and I will not conquer it without your help, let this fasting period be a struggle for you with God, to get from him strength to conquer your sins. Train yourself during fasting for this conflict.


For example, he reminds himself whenever he falls in the Narfza line, saying the book: "For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God" (Isaiah 2:1). This verse is repeated a lot every day, especially in situations where anger fights. And he cried himself, saying: "What do I benefit from fasting, if I become angry when I do not do righteousness?"


3- Practice memorizing some Psalms from answered prayers:


A psalm or two can be chosen from each of the seven prayers, especially from the psalms that leave an impact on you.


4 - Training on memorizing, cutting, and analyzing the Bible of the Clocks. Please note that each prayer has 3 or 6 pieces.


5- Practice the secret prayer with all that you memorize, whether praying at work, on the road, while with people, or at any time.


6- Take these prayers, psalms, and Bibles as space for meditation so you can pray them with understanding and depth.


7- Practices of Spiritual Readings:


Whether reading the Bible regularly, in excess quantities, understanding and meditation.. Or reading the Walk of Saints, or some spiritual books, so that you can come out of fasting with a beneficial harvest of deep reading.


7- During the Lent period, you can train yourself to receive the melodies of fasting or the week of pains, memorizing them, repeating them, and saturating their soul...


8- You can train yourself to a certain degree of fasting, to be under the supervision of your spiritual father.


9- There are many spiritual practices in the areas of dealings: such as kindness, length of selfishness, tolerance for the weaknesses of others, not getting angry, use of words of praise and encouragement, serving and helping others, and kindness and gentleness in treating people.


10- Other practices in (purity of heart): such as humility, inner peace, love of God, contentment and not grumbling, quietness and not worrying, inner joy of the soul, faith, and hope.
